We arrived eager for dinner only to find out that the restaurant was closed on Sundays, despite the website claiming a Sunday roast. It was frustrating to have to lug our bags up two flights of stairs with no lift.

The room was well-appointed with a fantastic bathroom & shower, the bed was extremely comfy. The location was excellent and good, really close to the shops and pubs in the evening, and the centre of Moffat high Street, in an impressive area. Also, a free play park was 1 km away, perfectly reachable.

Great location with friendly staff who genuinely care. The decor is lovely, and the breakfast is a highlight, though it can get a bit chaotic. Rooms are cozy but could use better organization. Our dog was well-treated, adding to the pleasant experience. A charming stay!

Fine views, but cold toast during breakfast left a lot to be desired.

the room was lovely and overlooked a beautiful garden with a fine 500-year-old tree. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, making the experience all the more pleasant, and the location couldn't be better for exploring the area.
Breakfast selection could be improved with warmer coffee and eggs.

Honestly, I was pretty let down when I checked in and found out there was no food being served for the rest of the day. After a long journey, I really expected a little more consideration from the staff.

Recommend it for solo travelers seeking comfort
I was greeted warmly by the staff, they actually remembered me from my last visit. Plus, when I finally sunk into the bed, it was like a cloud, best sleep I've had in ages.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but you know what they say, you get what you pay for.

The king room with garden view was super comfy and beautifully renovated. The staff were really friendly and welcomed our dog like family, a plus! Breakfast was really good, and we loved lounging in the bar area after a long day. The whole place had a warm and cozy vibe.
The dining room could use a little more flair in the decor, it felt kinda staid. I wish there were more dining options for dinner.

The good atmosphere combined with charming decor. Staff were attentively friendly. The desert surprise for a special occasion showcased their personal touch. The hot water tap in the sink was non-functional, and the shower water was slightly cool, which detracted from the overall comfort of the visit.
